For lots of musicians, teaching is a useful ‘side hustle,’ something to keep busy in quiet spots around performing, recording or rehearsing. At Singing Lessons on the Hill, it is more than that. For us, singing teaching is a passion.

Singing Lessons on the Hill was set up by Guy & Jono, two professional singers living in Caterham on the Hill (Surrey) where we moved after several years based in London. We both have busy performing careers which take us around the UK and overseas. At home, we’ve performed for companies including the Royal Opera, English National Opera and Glyndebourne and at venues including the Royal Albert Hall, the Barbican and the Royal Festival Hall. We’ve both been lucky to travel a lot with work and have performed all around the world, throughout Europe and further afield like Vietnam, the USA and Jono’s native New Zealand.

Alongside our performing work, we have both been teaching regularly from home and have a passion for helping singing students of all ages and abilities to achieve their goals, take time to do something for themselves and grow in confidence.

Both of us have over ten years of singing teaching experience, working on vocal technique with professional musicians, preparing singing students for exams (ABRSM, RockSchool, LAMDA, Trinity etc.), and teaching students who just want to learn for fun. Whatever your aims, we’ve got you covered. We have a roster of happy students, many of whom have been coming for lessons for several years.

We are confident that you’ll love what we do so we offer every new student a free trial lesson with no obligation. To book yours, just fill out a new student form on our website and we’ll be in touch.

We love teaching singing

Thanks for stopping by, we hope to see you in class soon!
